Welcome. I’m Waseme.

I’ve thought about creating a space like this for a long time—a place where I could write freely, share what I’ve learned, reflect on what I’m still learning, and give language to some of the experiences that have shaped my life.

I’m Waseme Marcelin. I’m a writer, vocalist, wife, mother, and entrepreneur. I’m also a woman who has lived enough life to know that some of our greatest growth begins when we become willing to look honestly at ourselves—our relationships, our choices, our faith, our histories, and even the things we’ve spent years trying not to look at.

Writing has given me a place to do that.

Over the years, I’ve experienced beautiful seasons and incredibly difficult ones. I’ve lived overseas, raised children, navigated marriage, walked through complicated relationships, gone to therapy, deepened my faith, learned the necessity of boundaries, rediscovered parts of myself, and come to understand that sometimes becoming who you are meant to be requires letting go of what you once believed would always be part of your life.

I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t intend to write as though I do.

What I do have are stories.

Some will make you laugh. Some may make you uncomfortable. Some are about things I wish had never happened, while others hold moments I wouldn’t trade for anything. Somewhere within all of those experiences are lessons that took me years—sometimes decades—to understand.

That is what I want this space to hold.

Here, I’ll share reflections on faith, family, relationships, mental health, boundaries, personal growth, creativity, and the things we sometimes have to unlearn before we can move forward.

More than anything, I want this to be a place where stories are told honestly.

There is something powerful about finally putting words to experiences we’ve carried quietly. Sometimes hearing someone else say, I’ve been there too, allows us to see our own lives differently.

So, this is my introduction.

Not because I’m just beginning to have something to say, but because I’m finally making room to say it.
